Apple Bottling Old Wine Into New Bottles? The iPhone 4 vs Nokia N95
Apple recently brought out its latest version in the iPhone series – The iPhone 4. This was indeed a much awaited release for all the Apple iPhone users. But how "new" are all the so hyped up features like the multitasking, copy & paste etc.? Steve Jobs and Apple claims that they have introduced many new features into the phone like copy paste options, multitasking, support for 3rd party apps, independent folders for apps any much more. Surprise, surprise, these features are already available with the existing Nokia phones. And guess what? Nokia brought out all these features into their phones years back. Just Look at the comparison made on the new iPhone4 and the Nokia N95 which was released way back in 2007. The image says it all.
Well, ok, the iPhone 4 has some more features as well other than the touch screen (like the accelerometer) but I really think that Apple should announce their new features as being new to the iPhone 4 and not like there's a cellphone revolution going on – started by Apple.
Nokia brought all that innovative stuff to the market in 2006, starting with the N93 model, and has been enhancing them ever since.
